Narmada is a sacred river originating in the Maikal Hills of central India from a place called Amarkantak. Parikrama is a Sanskrit word derived from the root ‘pari‘ meaning around and ‘krama‘ meaning going. The entire parikrama is estimated to be around 3500 kms long. The length of the river is 1312 km which when multiplied by two gives 2624 km and there are a lot of diversions because of dams and other reasons because of which pilgrims have to walk around and take longer routes. Some of the popular halts on the yatra route include the temples of Ujjain, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar and the Triveni Sangam; Khargone’s Navgraha Temple; Dakshin Kashi at Shahada; Ankleshwar Tirth, Mithi Talai and Nareshwar Dham in Bharuch; Laxmi Narayan Temple in Bhopal; and the shrines of Shankaracharya, Tripura Sundari, Gwari Ghat and Bheda Ghat in Jabalpur; the famous Narmadakund and Mai ki Bagiya in Amarkantak (one of the 51 Shakti Peethas); and the Jyoteshwar Mahadev Temple in Lakhnadon.
Upon arrival at the Ujjain railway station /Indore Airport or Railway station, meet our tour representative who will assist you to proceed towards Omkareshwar. After reaching, check-in at the hotel and relax for a while. Later on, visit the Omkareshwar Ghat to have a holy bath in the Narmada River. From there, reach the Ankleshwar Ghat to attend the puja archana.

Get transferred to the pre-decided hotel where you can spend some time relaxing. Later on, you will be visiting famous attractions, starting with the Renuka Mata temple where you can offer your prayers. Then, you will be exploring the Balmukund Seva Ashram which lies in close proximity to the Nemawar Ghat. People going for the Panchkosi Yatra (Narmada parikrama) can find food and a place to stay here. From there, you can head towards the Narmada Ghat to attend the evening Aarti.
Reach your hotel for an overnight stay.Today, proceed to Bareli after checking out from the hotel. Bareli is a quite popular town in Madhya Pradesh. After the tour, head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.On day 10, you will be heading to Maa ki Bagiya Temple after your breakfast. Maa ki Bagiya is the place where devotees worship the Garden Goddess. The place is home to a temple cum garden which was made in the honor of Goddess Narmada. This is followed by a visit to the Narmada Kund, a pious site in Amarkantak and one of the 51 Shakti peethas of Maa Druga. Perform puja archana to pay reverence to the divine powers for having successfully completed your pilgrimage.
Later in the day, drive to Ujjain. On arrival, check in at the hotel. After freshening up, get ready to visit the Kaal Bhairav Baba temple. The holy temple is dedicated to Bhairo Baba. This temple was erected by King Bhadrasen along the Kshipra River. While on darshan, perform the puja rituals. Interestingly, liquor is also served to the Lord as offering among other things.
Next, continue towards the Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 most popular Jyotirlingas, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is also among the top 10 tantra temples of India, revered by Hindus.
