MAmarkantak is a well frequented Hindu pilgrimage center that is popularly known as the Teerthraj - the king of pilgrimages. Mystic poet, Sant Kabir, is said to have meditated at Kabirchabutra, Amarkantak. The Narmada, one of the holiest rivers of India, originates here. Bhedaghat is a town and a nagar panchayat in Jabalpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated by the side of river Narmada and is approximately 35 km from Jabalpur city. Bhedaghat is famous for the high marble rocks making a valley through which river Narmada flows. Boat ride is famous here for an adventure activity. Bargi DAM of Jabalpur is an important dam out of 30 Dams on the river Narmada. -There is also a boat ride, fishing, water scooters, etc., which makes Bargi Dam’s journey even more enjoyable. Not only this, many birds can also be seen in the vicinity of Dam, including Mena, Paratha, Saras, Pigeon and Local Kali Gauriya. Other most important Tiger Reserve – Bandhavgarh its large population of royal Bengal tigers, especially in the central Tala zone. Other animals include white tigers, leopards and deer.
